La Quinta, a sleepy-town of 5200 residents, was incorporated in 1982. The La Quinta Resort & Spa attracted already back in the thirties famous people from

La Quinta has become a shopping and dining hub. La Quinta´s most recent figures indicate a continued and steady increase. Retail sales have tripled since 2000 and increased 50% since 2004. Projections for 2010 point to retail sales breaking $ 1 billion.
This year, La Quinta Resort was named "Best of the West" by "Meetings West" magazine which is a highly rated monthly convention resource. Another extraordinary resort is "Silver Rock Resort".
